River First Impressions Team
If you’re looking for a way to get involved at The River, joining our First Impressions Team is a great place to start. This team helps create a welcoming, Christ-centered environment by greeting people, offering assistance, and making sure everyone feels seen and valued from the moment they arrive. You’ll serve alongside a small team, build meaningful relationships, and use your gifts to help people feel at home as they take steps toward Jesus.
Greeter Team
Our greeter team is vital in helping us make a great first impression with our guests. Greeters are often the first smile and “good morning” that a guest encounters as they enter the building. Their job is to make sure that guests know that we are truly glad they have joined us for worship.
This team is stationed at both the front doors as well as the five entrances to the worship center.
Coffee Team
Thinking about doing anything on a Sunday morning without a cup of coffee sounds impossible to most people. The Coffee Team seeks to serve our guests by providing coffee and tea for each service. This goes a long way to show guests that we want them to feel at home when they are at The River. This team is stationed at the Coffee area on the east side of the main lobby.
Host Team
Our host team is all about making connections. This team strives to go the extra mile in engaging guests to help them get connected at The River. This often looks like answering general questions about the church, walking with guests if they are looking for a certain area in the building, and providing information about various ministries or upcoming events. The goal for this team is to find practical ways to connect guests to The River (if they are new) or to next steps in their faith journey (i.e. Life Groups, serving opportunities, etc.) This team is stationed at the connections area in the main lobby and at other designated areas.
Usher Team
Attending church for the first time can be an overwhelming experience for some, especially when it comes to finding a place to sit. That’s where our Usher Team comes in. This team seeks to put guests at ease by helping them quickly find a seat as they enter the worship center. They also serve our church by assisting in the collection of tithes & offerings during each service.
Parking Team
There’s a saying that “the sermon starts in the parking lot”, meaning, our message about Jesus begins as soon as people arrive on our campus. The Parking Team strives to ensure a safe and welcoming experience as guests arrive by helping quickly find a parking spot and get their family into the building.
Safety Team
The Safety Team consists of trained individuals within our church who help create a safe environment for guests during our Sunday morning services. This team will actively monitor the campus and be responsible for assisting with Emergency Response procedures in the event of an emergency.
Please note that additional screening is required to serve on the Safety Team.
