Summer Midweek Session
Our Summer Midweek session runs August 12–September 30, with classes meeting every Wednesday from 6–7:30p.
Whether you're looking to grow in your faith, build community, or dive deeper into God's Word, there's a place for you this semester. We have a great lineup of classes for adults, while River Students (5th–12th grade) meet each week for their own midweek gathering.
For families, River Kids Club is available for children in Pre-K through 4th grade, making it easy for the whole family to be part of Midweek together.

Fall FunFest
Fall FunFest is right around the corner—September 11-12! Each year, hundreds gather in downtown Cookeville for this vibrant community event, and we get the opportunity to bring joy to families through The River’s Kids Zone. From bounce houses to games and smiling faces, it’s a simple but meaningful way to love our city and reflect the heart of Jesus.

Baby Dedication Parent Orientation
Baby Dedication is a special opportunity for parents to publicly commit to raising their child to know and follow Jesus, surrounded by a church family committed to walking alongside them.
If you would like to participate in Baby Dedication on Sunday, September 27, attendance at Baby Dedication Orientation is required. Orientation will be held Sunday, September 13, from 11:15-11:45a. We’ll share the heart and purpose behind Baby Dedication, talk through what this commitment means for your family, and cover everything you need to know for Dedication Sunday. Rooted Women's Conference
This year, River Women is partnering with Washington Avenue and Cookeville First Baptist Women's Ministries to bring you the Rooted Conference, and you’re invited! Join women from across the Upper Cumberland for a meaningful morning of worship, biblical encouragement, and fellowship as we gather to stay ROOTED in God's Word.
We are excited to welcome Elizabeth Woodson as our speaker this year! Elizabeth Woodson is a bible teacher, writer, and speaker, who is passionate about communicating the rich theological truths of Scripture. She loves helping people internalize their faith and connect it practically to everyday life.

Church-Wide Worship Night
We believe there’s no better way to step into a new season than by fixing our hearts on the Lord. Church-Wide Worship Night is one of our favorite gatherings of the year, and this time, we’ll gather in the round, worshiping together as one church family. Sunday, August 23, at 6p, we’ll make space to worship, pray, and seek God together as we head into a new school year and all that this next season holds. Man Camp 2026
Mark your calendar for August 14-16 at Fall Creek Falls – Piney Creek for a weekend of adventure, worship, and intentional time together. Man Camp is designed for boys ages 7–18 and the fathers or mentors who walk alongside them. Throughout the weekend, you'll tackle hands-on survival skills like map navigation, boat building, fishing, fire-starting, and campfire cooking, while also spending time in Bible study and mentor breakouts focused on what it means to live out Biblical manhood.
Whether you're a dad, grandfather, uncle, or trusted mentor, this weekend is an opportunity to invest in the next generation and create memories that will last a lifetime.

River Women Connect Sunday

At Connect Sunday, you'll be inspired by what God is doing, informed about River Women group opportunities, and invited to be actively involved. Middle and high school students (5th-12th grade) and their families are invited to join us on Wednesday, August 5, for our River Students Open House! Come meet our leaders, connect with other students and families, explore the student spaces, and hear what's ahead for the new semester. River Students High School Camp
Our high school students (9–12th grade) are heading to FUGE Camp at the University of Mobile in Alabama! Students will spend the week growing in their faith through worship, Bible study, and meaningful mission experiences, all while building strong friendships and making lasting memories. Lodging, meals, and programming are provided on campus.

On Sunday, July 5, we'll gather together for Family Sunday. Kids, students, and adults will all join us in the main service as we worship together and celebrate what God is doing in and through our church family.

Be The Church Day
One of the ways we live out our faith together is through Be the Church Day on Saturday, May 2. This is a day we step beyond the walls to serve our community, partnering with local ministries, caring for Rising Above families, supporting our adopted schools, and meeting practical needs. It is a powerful reminder that the Church is not just a place we gather, it is who we are.

Greater: Mother + Daughter Event
Greater, our annual mother/daughter event, is coming up on Friday, April 24! River Kids, River Students, and River Women are coming together to host an evening designed especially for girls (in grades 2-12) and their moms or mentors. The purpose of Greater is to encourage moms and daughters to remember the promise from 1 John 4:4, “the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
This year, our theme is Stand Firm based on Ephesians 6. Moms and daughters will both be equipped to step into their Christian identity and stand firm in their Christian values, by putting on the full armor of God and fighting spiritual battles together in Christ. The evening includes good food, powerful worship, biblical teaching, authentic conversation, engaging breakouts, and exciting activities!
We invite you to join us for this intentional time of fun, connection, worship, and encouragement. The cost is $15/person with a $60 family max. Registration closes April 10. Register here!
WinShape Spirit Night at CFA Cookeville
The WinShape Camps Road Crew is rolling into Chick-fil-A Cookeville to celebrate that camp is BACK, and you’re invited!

Easter Drone Show
Back again—and even better than last year! On Friday, April 3 at 8p, experience the largest narrated drone show of its kind in Tennessee.
Hundreds of drones will illuminate the night sky in a breathtaking display, synchronized to a powerful narration broadcast on Grace 107.7. Through light and sound, the story of Jesus will come to life—celebrating hope, resurrection, and new life.
If you can see the big white cross next to I-40, you’ll have a great view as the drones soar 200 feet above it.
The evening will conclude with a stunning fireworks finale over Prayer Mountain, making for a powerful ending to this unforgettable experience.
Easter Jam
River Kids invites families with kids Birth–4th grade to join us for Easter Jam, a fun and meaningful Easter experience designed for the whole family. We’ll sing songs, play games, laugh together, and hear the Easter story in a way that engages kids and adults alike.
After the program and egg hunt, keep the fun going with bounce houses, games, and lunch for everyone.
Doors open at 8:30a and the event begins at 9a. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Join us for a potluck, fellowship, and fun at 6p at The River! It’ll be a great evening to share a meal, enjoy time together, and connect with others in our church family.

River Students Eggstraordinary Easter Quarterly is happening Saturday, March 7 from 10a–2p for all 5–8th grade students! It’s going to be an awesome day packed with games, worship, a great speaker, and a hands-on service project right here on campus. Lunch is provided.
