River Kids exists to help the next generation know Jesus, love His Word, and live on mission — all while having a ton of fun. We partner with parents as the primary disciple-makers, building a strong foundation of faith in every child. Through engaging, age-appropriate teaching and meaningful relationships, kids experience the truth of the gospel and discover they’re part of God’s bigger story to make disciples of all nations.
Ages & Stages
We understand that you are entrusting us with a precious gift and that is why your child’s safety is very important to us while they are in our care. Each area is supervised by several staff members and volunteers who have been carefully vetted and trained in ensuring the safety of your child. We also pursue low child-to-teacher ratios for optimal learning and safety.
NURSERY & PRESCHOOL | NEWBORN – PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Sundays: 8a | 9:30a | 11:15a
The infant and preschool years are critical for a child’s development. We use play, storytelling, caretaking, and singing to teach each child about God and His love for us. Each Sunday your preschooler will connect with other children in two settings. In small group time, there are opening activities, a craft or game, a Bible truth, and a snack. In large group time, we present the Bible lesson through video and singing.
ELEMENTARY | KINDERGARTEN – 4TH GRADE
Sundays: 8a | 9:30a | 11:15a
During the elementary years, our goal is to help children recognize their need for God, His grace, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Helping elementary aged children see their role in God’s mission to make disciples and multiply churches among all nations is another principle we strive to instill. Large group time engages children through interactive storytelling, verse memorization, singing, and focused prayer. Then, in small groups, leaders help the children reflect on God’s Word through group activities and intentional discussion. Often, leaders build lasting mentor relationships with the kids they lead.
SPECIAL NEEDS | PRESCHOOL - YOUNG ADULT
Sundays: 9:30a + 11:15a
We offer a thoughtfully designed sensory room created specifically for children with special needs and adapted to each child’s individual abilities and needs. Each session includes a gospel-centered Bible story and music time for children to enjoy.
Inclusion within our Children’s Ministry is also available. We partner with families to determine the best option for each child, which may include being paired with a one-on-one Sidekick who helps your child fully participate in our Children’s Ministry environment.

Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or older sibling who is 16 or older. Children MAY NOT check themselves in.
